Consultations

Stage 1:

Once an appointment is made, I will send you a questionnaire regarding your current health, a form for you to tell me about any medications or supplements you are currently taking, a consent form regarding the collection of your data, as well as a food diary sheet to be filled in for three days.   This is then sent back to me prior to the consultation. This allows me to do some work prior to meeting you so you get the most out of the one to one session.

Stage 2:

This is the face to face consultation and generally takes 1 hour.  We will discuss your health concerns, your goals and agree a personalized program for you to follow over the following four weeks.  This will be sent to you and include details of what we discussed during the consultation regarding your current lifestyle/eating habits and how that may be affecting you and also a personalized nutrition and lifestyle program for you to follow.

(Relax, the plan will not be a total change of eating and lifestyle, which is daunting and ends up not being sustainable.  I find it is better to suggest small changes, which you do everyday, then another small change added to the previous changes.  This way it is more manageable, easier to achieve and lets you be in control of your health.)

Stage 3:

I recommend a follow up consultation after 4  weeks to review your progress and adapt the program as necessary.  This will generally last 45 minutes.

Further follow up consultations may be required, depending on your requirements.  Sometimes it is easier to comply with the plan knowing you have another appointment.  However, the aim is to allow you to gain the knowledge and skills to manage your own health longer term.
